When Is Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story Releasing on Netflix?

Jerry Seinfeld has directed the upcoming American comedy movie ‘Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story’ the plot of which is set in 1963 Michigan and follows Kellogg’s and Post Consumer Brands competing with each other to be the first one to produce a breakfast pastry.

When Is ‘Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story’ Releasing?

Netflix was announced to have won the rights to the project Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story in June of 2021. A huge portion of the cast members joined in June of 2022.

Filming ran from 25th May to 1st July that year in Los Angeles and California. It was announced by Seinfeld who is also the co-writer and co-producer of the film that Netflix executives were watching for the first time the final cut of the movie in November of 2022.

Though Netflix has not released the official release date, it is expected to be released in 2023.

Jerry Seinfeld-

Jerry Seinfeld himself is a primary cast member of the upcoming movie. American actor, stand-up comedian, producer, and writer Jerry Seinfeld has previously starred as himself in a few documentary films.

Melissa McCarthy-

Primetime Emmy winner and Academy Award-nominated American actress Melissa McCarthy is another cast member of the upcoming movie.

In 2012 McCarthy was nominated for Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for starring as Megan Price in the comedy movie ‘Bridesmaids’ and in 2019 for Best Actress in a Leading Role for playing Lee Israel in the biographical film ‘Can You Ever Forgive Me?’.

Jim Gaffigan-

American actor, stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan has also been cast for the new comedy film. His other film credits include ‘Chappaquiddick’, ‘Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation‘, ‘Tesla’, ‘Peter Pan & Wendy‘, etc.

Gaffigan is also set to star in another upcoming movie ‘Providence’ which is a comedy mystery film.

Amy Schumer-

Primetime Emmy winner American actress, stand-up comedian, and director Amy Schumer is another cast member. She previously starred in the films ‘Trainwreck’, ‘Snatched’, ‘Thank You for Your Service’, ‘I Feel Pretty’, ‘The Humans, ‘Bros’ etc.

Hugh Grant-

We will also find Emmy-nominated English actor Hugh Grant in the upcoming movie. His other notable film credits include ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ for which he won the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role and ‘Florence Foster Jenkins’, ‘Paddington 2’ for both of which Grant was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.

The Grant will also be seen as Oompa-Loompa in the upcoming Timothée Chalamet starred movie ‘Wonka’.

James Marsden-

As the real-life late American nutrition and fitness guru Jack LaLanne, American actor James Marsden has been cast. His other film credits include ‘X-Men‘, ‘Hairspray’, ‘Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues’, ‘Superman Returns‘, ‘The Butler’, etc.

Jack McBrayer-

Emmy-nominated American actor and comedian Jack McBrayer is another cast member of the upcoming movie.
