In Marvel Studios’ D23 footage, eight MCU individuals have been announced to return for Loki season 2, and Feige revealed in May 2022 that the “whole cast” of the first season will return.
As a result, fans of Tom Hiddleston will return as nonother than Loki, Gugu Mbatha-Raw in the role of Ravonna Renslayer, Tara Strong will be seen in Miss Minutes, Owen Wilson in the role of Mobius M. Mobius, Sophia Di Martino will be seen as Sylvie, and Eugene Cordero in the role of Casey/Hunter K-5E will see more of them.
Jonathan Majors may play Kang the Conqueror, a skewed version of He Who Remains.
According to the studio, Loki Season 2 will introduce some new characters to the MCU. Rafael Casal was given an unspecified “important part” in the season in July.
In September, Ke Huy Quan was cast as a Time Variance Authority archivist, as shown in the teaser clip. Kate Dickie will be seen in Season 2 in an unidentified role, maybe as a villain.
Given the critical role Loki Season 2 plays in making the Marvel Multiverse, it is feasible that more Marvel characters could appear in the series or that their Variants will arrive to strengthen the Multiverse.
The directors are Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead. The duo most recently directed two episodes in the Marvel series Moon Knight. Michael Waldron and Eric Martin, who wrote the first season, are set to return, but Martin will take over as showrunner.
According to rumors, Henry Cavill is in talks for the role of Marcus Milton/Hyperion, albeit we should take this with a grain of salt.

The Season 1 conclusion left a lot of open for imagination in Season 2. When fans saw the last He Who Remains, he gave Loki and Sylvie two options: kill him and watch his versions ruin the Sacred Timeline, or allow the timeline to continue under the leadership of the Time Variance Authority.
Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie killed him in retribution for all of her life’s suffering, and it seems that this led the MCU timeline to break into the Multiverse, with Mobius claiming that “63 new branches” emerged practically instantly.
Tom Hiddleston has hinted that Season 2 would be about “the war for the spirit of the TVA.”
The breakdown of the Sacred Timeline was expected to have enormous consequences. Loki comes to a Time Variance Authority where no one recognizes him when Sylvie forces him through the time portal after killing He Who Remains.
The God of Mischief will likely have difficulty aiding TVA in finding a solution in this parallel universe. Season 2 will tell the fate of the TVA employees, who were all removed from their timelines and forced to forget their previous lives.
Furthermore, Owen Wilson has promised that Loki Season 2 would go deeper into Mobius’ story, maybe exposing his life before TVA.
