The Uncanny Counter Season 2 Episode 1 was released on 29th July 2023, on Netflix, and here are the details you need to know.

The Counters have returned after a two-year break, which is what we have been waiting for. 

The Uncanny Counter Season 2 sees the return of Yoo Seon-dong’s supernatural mysteries comedy-drama series.

Cho Kyeong-kyu, Yoo Joon-sang, Kim Se-jeong, Yeom Hye-ran, Ahn Suk-hwan, and Yoo In-soo play significant roles in the show, along with additional cast members.

The story of the Counters, who catch evil forces from the hereafter who have come in pursuit of immortality, is continued in the current season. With new members joining the gang and larger enemies approaching, the Counters are ready to launch a counterattack and stop everyone who comes their way.

The Uncanny Counter Season 2 Episode 1 Recap

After witnessing the Counters come together to defend a kindergarten bus from a hazardous driver possessed by an evil spirit, the usual processes begin in The Uncanny Counter Season 2 Episode 1.

The cops are stunned. While the other members of the red tracksuit-wearing heroes dispute the necessity for a new member, Mo-tak, who has been compelled to work as a cop by Gi-ran, his partner spirit, can apprehend wanted criminals simply on “hunches.”

Who is Ju-Seok?

Following So Mun’s psychokinesis lecture for the Counters, we go to the group volunteering. At this moment, we meet Ma Ju-seok, a down-to-earth character who we witness saved and connected with Mun’s grandma two years before.

While Ju-seok is being congratulated on his imminent fatherhood, So Mun and Ha-na intervene elsewhere to prevent an abusive gambler from further abusing his son and wife.

Mo-tak later captures the culprit, while Mae-ok assists the victims in the noodle store. Following that, we learn more about Ju-seok and his wife, Min-ji.

What happened to Pil-gwang’s Group?

A separate party of Counters infiltrates the lavish house of the wicked Pil-gwang in Jiran.

However, their efforts to bring down the guy characterized as “no ordinary evil spirit” are pointless, as his associates Gelly and Wong effortlessly care for most of the tracksuit-clad protagonists.

Pil-gwang then completes the mission, establishing his crew as significant threats.

Pil-gwang and company feel it’s time to return to Korea now that they’ve accepted their newfound powers and beaten a group of Counters.

Concurrently, So Mun’s squad learns about their new threat, especially how their latest enemy has comparable skills.

The Counters then rush to rescue Jun-hui and his mother, followed by debt collectors trying to profit off their organs in a flash of optimism that they can destroy the evil spirits.

Fortunately, the heroes arrive just in time to save the family, keeping the mother and son duo once more.

After saving everyone and firmly putting the debt collectors in their place, the episode concludes with the jubilant Counters clearing up the scene by making it appear like the villains battled one other.
