Our beloved podcasting trio is taking on a new murder investigation, with the iconic Meryl Streep potentially implicated as a suspect.

Hulu has released a new teaser for Only Murders in the Building Season 3, which will directly affect the residents of The Arconia.

Charles-Haden, Oliver, & Mabel will once again find themselves in a position they did not wish to be a part of, but because no one else can solve crimes the way they do, they will be forced to stand up to the situation.

People near the unusual trio will think twice before breaking the law, or they will face the wrath of amateur detectives who have transformed into skilled investigators.

Hulu revealed the first trailer for Only Murders in the Building season 3 on Wednesday.

The trailer opens with Selena Gomez‘s narration as Mabel Mora, setting the tone for the upcoming season. It features Rudd as the murder victim, Hollywood celebrity Ben Glenroy.

Surprisingly, Ben collapses on stage on the first night of a Broadway musical, having difficulty breathing before dying to an awful end. Charles, Oliver, and Mabel investigate Ben’s tragic death as a trio.

They work hard in the trailer to evaluate likely suspects by posting their images on a board. “Look at these actors; they’re all killers!” exclaims Charles.

Kimber, a TikTok-obsessed starlet, is suspected, leading viewers to question if her involvement resulted from an internet meme that went wrong.

Viewers catch images of Rudd and Streep’s characters sitting together at a table read in the trailer, adding to the increasing mystery. As the inquiry progresses, Oliver must cope with the immense strain of reassembling his show while dealing with the chaos produced by the murder. 

This is the first time they have solved a crime committed by someone outside the building. The show’s renowned combination of mystery and humor stays intact, with the trio’s typical humorous jokes throughout the trailer while investigating the murder.

This season, Mabel meets a new love interest who helps them put the puzzle together, and we may see a wedding involving the two as we glimpse Mabel in a lovely white wedding gown. 

The trailer, which includes tiny glances of jazzy musical moments, also highlights season 3’s Broadway backdrop. Only Murders in the Building will feature original music.

The Only Murders in the Building season 3 crew has been dramatically expanded with the addition of Meryl Streep and others, and the trailer features each of the suspects they will be portraying.

Streep, a three-time Oscar winner, portrays Loretta Durkin, who, ironically, stinks it up during the play’s table read.

Therefore, Ben wants her off the production. Kimber (Ashley Park), a “TikTok-addicted starlet,” and adorable Tobert (Jesse Williams) are also prime suspects. Matthew Broderick makes a surprise appearance in the trailer.
