Special Ops: Lioness Released On Paramount+.

Taylor Sheridan has created the new American spy thriller television series ‘Special Ops: Lioness’ the plot which finds a female Marine being tasked to befriend the daughter of a suspected terrorist whom the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency is surveilling.

The series Special Ops: Lioness was first announced as part of a Paramount+ programming slate unveiling in September 2020.

That year in February Zoe Saldaña was cast as the main character of the series. She also joined as executive producer at that time along with Nicole Kidman.

The next month Laysla De Oliveira also joined the cast. Following the writers’ room of the series in the month of June, Sheridan took over the role of showrunner from Thomas Brady.

Other cast members kept joining since September. Kidman and other main cast members Michael Kelly and Morgan Freeman were cast in January of 2023.

The title of the series was only ‘Lioness’ at first which was turned into ‘Special Ops: Lioness’ in May this year.

Paramount+ released the official trailer of the series on YouTube on June 8, 2023. The series is scheduled to premiere on Paramount+ on July 23, 2023.

American actress Zoe Saldaña has been cast in the role of the main character Joe in the spy thriller series. She previously starred in the recurring role of Regina in the American serial drama tv series ‘Six Degrees’ from 2006 to 2007.

In the 2014 two-part four-hour tv miniseries ‘Rosemary’s Baby’, Saldaña was cast as Rosemary Woodhouse as well as served as executive producer.

For another American romance drama miniseries ‘From Scratch’ she served as executive producer and also starred in the role of Amy.

Laysla De Oliveira-

In the role of Cruz Manuelos, Canadian actress Laysla De Oliveira has been cast. Her only other primary tv role since now is of Dodge in the first season of the American fantasy horror drama tv series ‘Locke & Key‘.

De Oliveira starred in a number of films too. In 2016 she was cast as Paula Ferreira in the family drama movie ‘An American Girl: Lea to the Rescue‘.

Then in 2019, she played Veronica in the Canadian drama film ‘Guest of Honor. The same year she also starred as Becky DeMuth in the Canadian supernatural horror drama movie ‘In the Tall Grass’ and as Maddy in the Canadian science fiction action movie ‘Code 8‘.

As Kaitlyn Meade, we see Academy and Primetime Emmy Award winner American and Australian actress Nicole Kidman in the series.

Kidman was nominated for Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie for playing Martha Gellhorn in the television film ‘Hemingway & Gellhorn’ in 2012.

In HBO‘s drama tv series ‘Big Little Lies‘ she was cast as Celeste Wright for which role she won Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie in 2019. She previously starred as Annie in 1985 in the Western television drama series ‘Five Mile Creek’.

In the American drama tv series ‘Nine Perfect Strangers‘ Kidman was cast in 2021 as the main character of Masha Dmitrichenko while also serving as executive producer for the series.

Besides ‘Special Ops: Lioness’, other upcoming television series in which Kidman is set to star are ‘Expats’ and ‘The Perfect Couple’. In all three of these upcoming series, she serves as executive producer.
