The trailer teases an inside look at the JWST’s development, launch into the Sun’s orbit, and the fantastic photographs produced by JWST.

The narration suggests that with the vast size of the Universe, it is highly likely that there are evolved conscious beings somewhere out there.”The James Webb Space Telescope will fundamentally alter how we perceive the Universe.”

According to Space, the film will follow the JWST’s crew of engineers and scientists, tracking the ups and downs of a project that took nearly 30 years to accomplish. It will be directed by Shai Gal and executive produced by Jason Spinar-Karr.

What is the Webb Telescope?

Netflix

The JWST was launched as the long-serving Hubble space telescope’s successor, with greater wavelength coverage and substantially enhanced sensitivity.

Webb can look considerably closer to the beginning of time, seek the overlooked development of the earliest galaxies, and examine dust clouds where planetary systems and stars are developing now, thanks to the longer wavelengths.

Webb has produced breathtaking photographs of Space since the telescope became operational last July.

The $10 billion Webb telescope is located at the second Lagrange point, about 15 lakh km from Earth.

The telescope began operating on July 12th of last year. Webb is called a ‘time machine’ not because it can travel back in time but because it can gather light wavelengths that have traveled trillions of light-years to reach here.

The telescope is intended to investigate the universe in infrared light, which cannot be seen but is felt as heat.

Shai Gal directed the documentary, which is included in Netflix’s four-part docuseries. In addition to Webb, the platform released ‘Unknown: The Lost Pyramid‘ on July 3, ‘Unknown: Killer Robots‘ on July 10, and ‘Unknown: Cave of Bones‘ on July 17.
