The now-decades-old Lucie Blackman murder case in Japan will be the subject of a new Netflix documentary Missing: The Lucie Blackman Case. Furthermore, it will rip open a 23-year-old wound.

Beginning next month, in July 2023, only Netflix, the non-fiction documentary Tokyo Crime Squad: The Lucie Blackman Case, which is directed by Yamamoto Hyoe and includes an extraordinary amount of testimony from Japanese police and detectives.

This movie focuses on the internal conflicts of the primary individuals involved in the search for Lucie Blackman’s kidnapper as they unearthed the heinous crimes of a suspect who questioned and played with them at each phase of the investigation under an unusual amount of worldwide attention and scrutiny.

Missing: The Lucie Blackman Case, which is well-known across the world, continues to have a significant impact on those involved in it, and this movie explores the ongoing sense of obligation the investigators have toward the victims of an extraordinarily cruel murder.

Missing: The Lucie Blackman Case documentary looks at the story of Lucie Blackman, a former British Airways flight attendant who later worked as a hostess in Asia.

A worldwide search was launched after she vanishes in Japan. The grim story of that investigation will be the main subject of this series.

One Monday morning in the month of July 2000, a report of missing persons for Lucie Blackman was submitted to the Azabu Police Station in Roppongi, Tokyo.

None would have predicted the grotesqueness of this situation. They also couldn’t have anticipated the global tremors it would cause.

Ex-British Airways flight attendant Lucie Blackman, 21, was employed as a bar hostess at the Casablanca pub in Roppongi. She left on a Saturday night to see a customer. She vanished without a trace and was never seen again.
