This September, Netflix will release its adaptation of Love at First Sight, a romantic comedy about two people who meet and fall in love during a long airplane flight.
Last April, the adaptation was announced. Netflix has already released the first teaser before the film’s September 15 release date.
Love, at First Sight, is based on Jennifer E. Smith’s best-selling novel of the same name, which had been initially titled The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight.

The trailer begins at the John F. Kennedy airport, where narration by Jameela Jamil establishes the setting for Hadley and Oliver’s encounter. The two of them quickly form a fun relationship and make the most of their almost seven-hour travel by getting to know one another better.
They even go on a charming first date during the flight. Sadly, after they reach London, their happiness ends since, according to the narrator, “there’s only a.2% chance” that Hadley and Oliver will reunite.
As they spend the next several hours on the plane together, which appears to fly away in an instant, the two must part ways at Heathrow and are returned to ground reality.
Despite having initially decided and intended to stay in touch, the unavoidable occurs, and they are separated. However, both are unable to stop thinking about each other.
Given the odds, it appears both of them are less eager to look for one another, seemingly content to never run into each other again.
Complicated chaos follows, in which they try to find each other again. Will destiny swish its wand again and give the soulmates a second opportunity at love, presenting an unthinkable switch? We’ll have to see what happens.
