On July 7th, 2023 it was reported that the show had been officially canceled. The outlet cited viewing stats as being the series’ main problems.

The initially released season amassed 140,340,000 hours on Netflix’s top 10 worldwide. In the meantime, the show lasted one week at the top of Nielsen’s top ten list, totaling 4.32 million hours.

For a Welcome to Eden Season 3 renewal, the second season is required to match or outperform its predecessor, which failed to occur.

Season 2 notably trailed behind and slipped out of the top 10s far faster, as seen in the week-to-week evolution of the Netflix top 10s.

Despite the season climax ending on a cliffhanger, an additional season is required, but sadly that won’t be the case. Below is what we were still hoping to see.

Zoa was taken aback after her sister Gabi arrived after her failed attempt to flee the island in season 1.

Others’ efforts to flee were likewise unsuccessful, and even Charly, who discovered a way out, was apprehended by Joel and Danae.

Astrid’s demise was planned by Zoa and Bel, but they uncovered a mole feeding details to her. They understood Gabi was betraying her sister following false charges, motivated by Astrid’s influence and a desire to preserve her new property.

Ibon, one of Astrid’s disciples, got extremely deadly after killing Ulises. Alma decided to kill him personally. Zoa and Bel were sentenced to death after being apprehended for their murder plan.

Gabi begged Astrid to save her life, but she insisted on killing Bel. Zoa was not going to let her buddy die alone. Yet, before the execution order was issued, Detective Brisa and her crew landed on the island to help hunt for missing people.

In the meantime, Danae was shown to be serving Mr. Sisuk, who had been paid to assassinate Astrid’s father. Danae received a hidden chip during a secret chat with Som.

She broke into the transmission chamber using its contents but was apprehended by Isaac as she left.

Furthermore, Africa is pregnant with Erick’s kid, yet he had previously gone back to his family, believing their relationship was an affair, before discovering the pregnancy.

Astrid’s utopia is crumbling owing to the entrance of Detective Brisa, Zoa and Bel’s failed insurrection, Danae’s hidden partnership, and her troubles with Erick.

In Season 3, Astrid faces a slew of issues. Zoa’s first objective is to get off the island as soon as she can with her sister Gabi.
