David E. Kelley created the American legal drama tv series ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ which is adapted from Michael Connelly’s books. The plot revolves around a defense attorney in Los Angeles named Mickey Haller played by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, who mostly works out of his chauffeur-driven Lincoln Navigator. The first season of the series was based on the 2008 novel Connelly- “The Brass Verdict”. The upcoming second season has been developed based on his other novel that was published in 2011- ‘The Fifth Witness’.
When Is Season 2 of ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ Releasing?
Season 1 of the series was released on February 22, 2021, on Netflix. A second season was renewed by Netflix on June 14, 2022. The upcoming season will consist of ten episodes like its preceding season. But the new season will stream in two parts. The official trailer of part one was released on YouTube by Netflix on 15th June this year. The first part of The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 is set to be released on July 6, 2023, and the second part on August 3, 2023.

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo
The titular criminal defense lawyer Mickey Haller who is a recovering addict is portrayed by Mexican actor Manuel Garcia-Rulfo in the series. Garcia-Rulfo will be back for the second season of the series.
His other television credits include the first two seasons of the American horror tv series ‘From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series’ in which he played the recurring character Narciso Menendez from 2014 to 2015. In 2018 he was cast as Gabriel Ortega in the second season of the legal drama tv series ‘Goliath’.
Neve Campbell
The role of criminal prosecutor Maggie McPherson who is also Mickey’s first ex-wife is played by Canadian actress Neve Campbell in the series. Campbell’s first major tv series role is as Daisy McKenzie in the Canadian musical drama series ‘Catwalk’ in which she was cast in 1992.
From 1994 to 2000 she played Julia Salinger in the teen family drama series ‘Party of Five’. In the 2008 BBC / Global Drama miniseries ‘Burn Up’ Campbell starred as Holly Dernay. The next year she was cast in the role of Olivia Maidstone in the action drama tv series ‘The Philanthropist’.
As Joanna Yaegar she was cast in the 12-part costume drama tv series ‘Titanic: Blood and Steel’ in 2012. As a recurring character, Diane appeared in the American-Swedish sitcom tv series ‘Welcome to Sweden in 2015.
Then from 2016 to 2017, Campbell played the main character LeAnn Harvey in the fourth and fifth seasons of the American political thriller tv series ‘House of Cards‘. Campbell is also set to star as a recurring cast member playing Raven in an upcoming post-apocalyptic action comedy tv series ‘Twisted Metal’.
Becki Newton
Mickey’s second ex-wife and legal aide Lorna Crane is portrayed by American actress Becki Newton in the series. She first rose to prominence on television as Amanda Tanen in the comedy-drama tv series ‘Ugly Betty’ from 2006 to 2010. From 2008 to 2009 Newton reprised this role in the spin-off of ‘Ugly Betty’- ‘Mode After Hours’.
As another main character Annie Matopoulos, she was cast in 2011 in the anthology comedy-drama tv series ‘Love Bites’. Then from 2012 to 2013, Newton portrayed Quinn Garvey in CBS’ American sitcom ‘How I Met Your Mother’. In 2013 she was cast in the main role of Chloe Goodwin in the American sitcom ‘The Goodwin Games’.
In another main role of Caryn Goldfarb, she starred in 2015 in another sitcom ‘Weird Loners’. From 2018 to 2019 Newton starred as Jackie Giannopolis as a recurring cast member in The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 and as the main cast member in season three of the comedy-drama series ‘Divorce’.

Jazz Raycole
A former addict and Mickey’s client who later becomes his personal driver- Izzy Letts is played by American actress and dancer Jazz Raycole in the series. Raycole is best known for her role as Claire Kyle in the American tv sitcom ‘My Wife and Kids’ from 2000 to 2002. She starred as Lyric Ballentine from 2012 to 2014 as the main cast member in season one and as a recurring cast member in The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 and three of the American sitcom ‘The Soul Man’. As the main character Sydney Fletcher she starred in the drama series ‘The Quad from 2017 to 2018.
Angus Sampson
Mickey’s friend Cisco who is a go-to investigator is played by Australian filmmaker actor Angus Sampson in the series. Sampson previously starred in the supernatural comedy-drama series ‘Spirited’ in the role of Zac Hannigan from 2010 to 2011.
In the 2014 Australian political drama comedy tv series ‘Party Tricks’ he portrayed Wayne Duffy. In 2015 he was cast in the recurring character of Bear Gerhardt in the black comedy crime drama series ‘Fargo’. From 2016 to 2017 Sampson starred as Fonso Marks in the drama tv series ‘Shut Eye’.
