The Witcher Season 3 is more authentic to the books. Season 3 of The Witcher is almost here. Netflix recently released another trailer depicting all the critical characters fighting side by side, featuring Henry Cavill‘s final appearance as our white-haired beast hunter.

The Witcher Season 3 Geralt and His Companions In An Exciting Action Sequence!

A new trailer for The Witcher season 3 says it will be more authentic to Andrzej Sapkowski’s popular book series.

The third season of Netflix’s fantasy adaption is based mainly on Time of Contempt, the second book in The Witcher story, and finds the Continent converging on Ciri as Geralt and Yennefer fight to keep her safe. 

The Witcher Season 3 will be more authentic to the novels by following the journeys of its three central characters and their intricate relationships, including Geralt and Yennefer’s romance.

Many unanswered issues from the previous two seasons will be addressed, including Cahir’s journey, the start of the Scoia’tael, and the newly reunited family at the heart of it all. 

With Liam Hemsworth taking over as Geralt in season 4, this will be Henry Cavill’s final season as the character. Cavill allegedly departed from the series because it drifted too far from the original material.

The third season continues the adventure from where the second season ended. Ciri is on the run since her Elder blood makes her a target throughout the Continent, and Geralt is once again left with hiding and defending the outlawed princess from kings, mages, creatures, and everything in between.

Meanwhile, Yennefer is charged with developing the young ward’s undeveloped magical talent, and the trio is again in danger. Ciri gets attacked in the new clip by Rience, the fiery mage who attempted and failed to take the girl in Season 2.

Rience wants vengeance and brings a group of goons who help him turn the tables. Ciri, on the other hand, has been training to fight with Geralt and can hold the line until help comes.

Not only Gerald and Yennefer rush to the girl’s aid but also the Dwarves headed by Yarpen Zigrin (Jeremy Crawford) to level the battlefield. Jaskier also helps throughout the battle, which isn’t surprising given that the bard will play a larger role in Season 3.

That isn’t the end of our hero’s problems, as the gang is overrun by Elves who have also arrived to capture Ciri.

More combat continues as the trailer fades, indicating that the third season will consist of two volumes, the first released on June 29 and the second on July 27.

The clip has one of the Netflix franchise’s most thrilling action set pieces. As each fighter deals blows, the camera moves fluidly.

Even if things become more chaotic with the entry of an army of Elf rivals, it’s simple to figure out what’s happening with everyone. It’s a stunning battle, and we can’t wait to see what more the series has in store for fans in Season 3.
