The Envoy Web

In the finale of Demon Slayer Season 3, Genya, Nezuko, and Tanjirou relentlessly pursue the Upper-Rank Four demon, Hantengu, aiming to decapitate him. Hantengu tries to escape but is eventually caught by Tanjirou, who utilizes Zenitsu’s mobility technique.

However, Hantengu unexpectedly grows stronger and larger, overpowering Tanjirou. Just as Tanjirou is about to be defeated, Genya arrives to rescue him. Nezuko employs her Blood Demon Art, setting fire to Hantengu’s body, allowing Tanjirou to land a deep cut on the demon’s neck.

Hantengu, realizing he is in trouble, surprises the trio with an unexpected attack and flees again. During the pursuit, they fall from a cliff, leaving Nezuko unable to stand and Tanjirou without a weapon as his sword remains in Hantengu’s neck.

Fortunately, Tokito provides Tanjirou with an ancient sword crafted by Mr. Haganezuka. Tanjirou musters all his strength to decapitate Hantengu.

Shortly after, the sun rises, causing Nezuko’s body to rapidly burn. In a desperate situation, Hantengu, still alive, attempts to consume the village’s inhabitants to regain power.

Tanjirou, torn between protecting Nezuko and confronting Hantengu, is aided when Nezuko selflessly kicks him toward the demon.
