The upcoming South Korean television series ‘See You in My 19th Life’ is adapted from the same named webtoon by Lee Hey that was published on Naver.

The series falls under the category of fantasy and romance and features a plot that revolves around a girl named Ban Ji-eum who has been reincarnating herself for almost a thousand years and is able to remember all about her past lives.

But after a tragic accident cuts her eighteenth life short, she becomes determined to find out the people from her past unfinished life in the nineteenth one and reconnect with them.

Actress Lim Hyun-Joo was first reported to star in the role of one of the female main characters Yoon Cho-won in the series.

But following scheduling issues, she stepped down from the cast and was replaced by Ha Yoon-kyung.

Netflix released the official trailer of the series on YouTube on 12th June 2023. The first season of the South Korean tv series is set to be released on 17th June this year.

Shin Hye-sun-

One of the lead characters of the series Ban Ji-eum is a woman able to remember everything about her past lives. South Korean actress Shin Hye-sun has been cast to play the role of Ban Ji-eum in the series.

Hye-sun previously was cast in the role of Kang Eun-hee in the romance comedy drama thriller series ‘Oh My Ghost’ in 2015. The next year she portrayed main character Lee Yeon-tae in the family drama series ‘Five Enough’.

In the first season of the crime thriller K-drama ‘Stranger’, Hye-sun played the role of Young Eun-soo in 2017. From 2017 to 2018 she starred as Seo Ji-an in the family drama series ‘My Golden Life’.

In 2018 Hye-sun was cast in the main character of Woo Seo-ri in the romantic comedy series ‘Still 17’. In the same year, she also played Yun Sim-deok in the historical romance melodrama miniseries ‘The Hymn of Death’.

In 2019 Hye-sun was cast in the role of Lee Yeon-seo / Choi Seol-Hee / Giselle in the romance fantasy K-drama ‘Angel’s Last Mission: Love’.

Then from 2020 to 2021 in the South Korean tv series ‘Mr. Queen’ she played Kim So-yong, Queen Cheorin / Jang Bong-hwan.

Ahn Bo-hyun-


Heir of a rich family named Moon Seo-ha who is suffering from trauma following a car accident, is another lead character in the series.

South Korean actor, television personality, and model Ahn Bo-hyun portrayed Moon Seo-ha in the series.

Bo-hyun portrayed Wang Rim in the comedy romantic fantasy drama series ‘My Runway’ in 2016. The next year he played Baek Seung-kyu in the romance comedy tv miniseries ‘Wednesday 3:30 PM’.

In 2020 he starred as Seo Do-gyun in the fantasy thriller series ‘Kairos’. From 2020 to 2021 Bo-hyun played main character of Goo Woong in the psychological romantic drama series ‘Yumi’s Cells’.

In the military legal South Korean tv series ‘Military Prosecutor Doberman’ he portrayed the main character of Captain Do Bae-man in 2022.

Ha Yoon-kyung-

The character of landscape architect Upon Cho-won will be seen portrayed by South Korean actress Ha Yoon-kyung in the series.

Yoon-kyung starred in supporting character of Joo Soo-kyung in the romantic comedy series ‘Matrimonial Chaos’ in 2018.

In seasons one and two of the medical comedy romance slice-of-life K-drama ‘Hospital Playlist’ she played Heo Sun-bin from 2020 to 2021.

As another supporting character Chae Yeon-seung, Yoon-kyung starred in 2021 in the romantic comedy-drama series ‘She Would Never Know’.

As Choi Su-yeon she was cast as a supporting cast member in the legal K-drama ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’ in 2022. She can also be seen in the series ‘Queen of Mystery 2’, season five of ‘O’PENing- What are you do in the office, Share?’ etc.

Ahn Dong-goo-


Moon Seo-ha’s childhood friend and secrets Ha Do-yoon will be seen played by South Korean actor and model Ahn Dong-goo in the series. He was cast in the supporting role of young Kwon Do-hoon in the melodrama tv series ‘The Wind Blows’ in 2019.

Next year he played No Woo-jung in the South Korean Medica tv series ‘Soul Mechanic’. From 2021 to 2022 Dong-goo starred in the romantic comedy K-drama ‘Our Beloved Summer’ in the role of Gu Eun-ho.

During the same time he also played Choi Byung-tae in the black comedy romance action K-drama ‘Snowdrop’. Dong-goo was also cast in the supporting role of Seo Eun-kang in the legal romance K-drama The Law Cafe’ in 2022.
