Brooker has stated that this season would have a considerably greater cinematic scope in terms of production quality, approaching each episode as a whole film.

What is certain is that this season will be harsher than prior seasons, with comparisons drawn to how technology has become even more interwoven into society since the epidemic. Brooker also hinted that the upcoming season will contain new elements to the series that he had previously vowed off using and a more significant variance between episodes than ever before.
