Sam Hargrave has directed the upcoming American action thriller movie ‘Extraction 2’ which is adapted from the graphic novel named ‘Ciudad’.
The film serves as the sequel to the 2020 movie ‘Extraction’ from which Chris Hemsworth will be seen reprising the role of the lead character Tyler Rake in the upcoming movie. In the previous film, we found Tyler, the Australian black op mercenary, rescuing the abducted son of an Indian crime lord in Dhaka of Bangladesh.
In the new movie, Tyler returns after being presumed dead for nine months. The black ops mercenary assigns him again and this time he is tasked with the mission of rescuing the imprisoned family of a ruthless Georgian gangster.
When Is ‘Extraction 2’ Releasing on Netflix?
Just after one month after the release of the first film, Joe Russo was announced to have been hired for a sequel.
The same year in December, Russo Brothers announced that they are planning to build a series of films and eventually develop a cinematic universe within the world of Extraction.
Netflix released the official trailer of ‘Extraction 2’ on May 16, 2023. The movie will be released on Netflix on 16th June this year.

Chris Hemsworth-
As ex-Australian SAS operator turned black ops mercenary Tyler Rake, Australian actor Chris Hemsworth will reprise his role from the previous film.
Hemsworth is largely known for his portrayal of the God of Thunder Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero films.

Golshifteh Farahani-
Tyler’s partner and a mercenary named Nik Kahn will be portrayed by Iranian and French actress Golshifteh Farahani in the upcoming movie. Farahani first appeared in this role in ‘Extraction’ in 2020.

In the role of Kawa he also starred in the Arabic-language American war action movie ‘Mosul’ in 2019. In the internationally co-produced drama movie ‘Harka’, Bessa played the lead role of Ali.

Ukrainian and French model and actress Olga Kurylenko has been cast in the role of a character named Mia in the upcoming movie.
