Jason Segel Was Unhappy While Filming How I Met Your Mother.

Jason Segel’s career may have seemed significant on the surface, but the actor was unhappy during the last season of the sitcom How I Met Your Mother.

Even though HIMYM was one of the most popular sitcoms of the last two decades, it turns out that one of its stars was less than wait for it… able.

In a video posted online last week, Jason Segel recently participated in The Hollywood Reporter‘s Comedy Actor Roundtable. During the conversation, the Shrinking actor shared some of his genuine sentiments regarding the nine-season CBS program’s conclusion.

From 2005 until 2014, the 43-year-old actor played the beloved character Marshall Eriksen in the well-known comedy. However, he also dealt with some personal issues while entertaining audiences at home.

Segel, 43, revealed during The Hollywood Reporter’s Comedy Actor Awards that “there was a period in my life and career around the last couple of years of How I Met Your Mother where things were firing in both movies and TV, and everyone was telling me how well it was going.”

“And I was depressed,” he said. Segel experimented with different projects, including The Muppets, The Five-Year Engagement, and This Is 40, as HIMYM went on to earn awards.

The comedian claimed he had several difficulties when attempting to transition to the big screen. Segal commented that he had not anticipated the change from humor to drama.

I also didn’t have a routine for preparation because comedic preparation is different. He claimed that these were substantial sections of conversation, and much of how we came up with them was improvised.

Jason Segel revealed that he was unhappy during the filming of the last season of How I Met Your Mother.

Segel hasn’t been on the Hulu spinoff of the enduring CBS sitcom How I Met Your Father, but it’s conceivable. How I Met Your Father features several actors from How I Met Your Mother reprising their roles, including Kyle MacLachlan, Cobie Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris, and others.

The series premiere revealed that Marshall and Lily were the ones who sold Sid his flat, so much of the plot takes place in the same building as Mother’s most memorable moments.

Segel claimed that, in the end, he had to learn to strike a balance between insisting on having the freedom to make his own creative decisions and understanding when to give up.

Played David Foster Wallace in the film The End of the Tour. When you put on the scarf and spectacles and start reciting the lines, the struggle to keep it from sounding like a Saturday Night Live comedy seemed relatively high.

Segal commented that he had not anticipated the change from humor to drama.
