The show has become very popular and captivates audiences with its two different timelines. In 1996, a New Jersey high school girls’ soccer team finds themselves stranded in the Ontario Wilderness following a plane crash on their way to the national championships.

Travis is initially relieved and joyful when he sees Nat, but his emotions turn to horror as he realizes what has happened.

Nat lies to him about her inability to save Javi, a lie that will likely have consequences. Travis, overwhelmed with grief, shuts down emotionally and eventually accepts the situation.

Shauna takes up the task of butchering meat despite her connection to Javi. Scott returns with news of a cave filled with food, and Nat reveals that she let Javi die.

In the present day, the group plans to institutionalize Lottie, but Van confesses her discomfort with the plan to Taissa and suggests trying to convince Lottie instead. Meanwhile, Jeff arrives at Camp Green Pine with Callie, unaware that Kevyn Tan and Matt Saracusa have followed them there.

In the past, Lottie completes her task and offers Travis the first bite of raw meat, which he takes a bite of before cooking it. This signals the others to grab their portions as well.

Later that night, the survivors wake up to find their cabin engulfed in flames. They work together to break the locked door and escape the inferno. It strongly suggests that Scott is responsible for the fire.

Contrary to viewers’ expectations, Walter doesn’t reach out to the authorities to expose Adam Martin’s death and betray Misty.

Instead, in the season finale, he poisons Kevyn and sets up a trap for Saracusa, connecting him to the murders of Adam Martin and Jessica Roberts.

Walter takes matters into his own hands, implicating Saracusa in the crimes or allowing him to become a hero by uncovering his partner’s involvement in a political scandal.

The Yellowjackets resort to their old ways and use a deck of cards to determine who will die next, with Shauna receiving the queen of hearts. As the others approach her, Callie arrives and shoots Lottie in the arm.

Nat claims that Lottie’s influence turned them into monsters in the wilderness, but Van reminds her that Lottie always acted out of concern for the group.

Lisa appears with a shotgun, leading to a tense confrontation, and Misty tries to attack her with a lethal injection.

However, Nat intervenes and saves Lisa. Nat’s death seems to appease the supernatural entity known as the Wilderness, resolving the legal troubles faced by the Yellowjackets and the Sadecki family.

Lottie leaves willingly for a mental-health facility, expressing hope that they will find proof of the Wilderness’s satisfaction, which gives Van hope for her own battle with cancer.
