Sonic the Hedgehog is returning on Netflix for the Sonic Prime Season 2 of his dimension-hopping adventure.
The first season of Sonic Prime on Netflix was enthusiastically applauded by reviewers and people alike as a great interpretation of the story of the quick blue Hedgehog. The show is now returning for more.
When will Sonic Prime Season 2 Be Released?
Sega has announced that the Sonic Prime Season 2, a Netflix animated series, will release on July 13, 2023. This season arrives approximately seven months after the series’ first release in late 2022.
The series will reportedly have 24 episodes split across three seasons. Season 2’s eight episodes are planned to be released simultaneously, as they were in the first season.

The cast of Sonic Prime Season 2
We anticipate that the whole cast from the first season will return. Deven Mack will voice Sonic, with Ashleigh Ball reprising her role as his faithful companion, Tails. Shannon Chan-Kent reprises her role as Amy, and Adam Nurada voices Knuckles.
Brian Drummond plays Eggman, Vincent Tong plays Shadow, and Kazumi Evans plays Rouge. Sonic Prime has no actors from previous games or films.

What can we expect from Sonic Prime Season 2?
Along with the Season 2 start date, a fresh first look for the forthcoming season was released, featuring Sonic and a few familiar faces in an unfamiliar setting.
Knuckles the Dread, Batten Rouge, Sails Tails, Black Rose, and Catfish appear in the instance, all of which are pirate versions of Knuckles, Rouge, Tails, Amy Rose, and Big the Cat.
However, rather than being on their pirate ship, they follow Sonic in a chamber that appears more in keeping with Eggman’s automated dystopia, New Yoke City.
Season 2 stills reveal Sonic’s ability to return to the pirate world, although it looks like Shadow has his own goal, which remains unknown. He also had a Chaos Emerald, which might be harmful in the hands of any member of the Chaos Council.
We expect Sonic to return to New Yoke City to face the Chaos Council and try to win over Rusty Rose – but this may not be easy given her total roboticization.
We may also learn more about Sonic’s friendships as he understands more about himself and the choices that brought him to this situation.

The trailer for Sonic Prime Season 2 has not been released. However, there is still a still of Sonic and Shadow, indicating that the two will fight again.
That show will be broadcast on Paramount+. Meanwhile, Sonic Prime is now accessible on Netflix.
