Other than a few still photos from the first look, Netflix has yet to release a trailer for Bloodhounds.

However, because the series is a version of a well-known webcomic, the plot proceeds in the original material: Kim Geon Woo, Hong Woo Jin, and Cha Hyeon Joo are the three central characters in the story.

Geon Woo, a former high school pupil, and boxer, comes from a family with limited resources, as his mother used to borrow money from loan sharks to maintain the family when they were younger.

He was forced to quit school and seek a well-paid job to repay the money he owed to loan sharks. These loan sharks will go to any length to compensate for their losses.

Woo Jin is also a high school student but is precisely the opposite of Geon Woo. Woo Jin was expelled from his former school because he had been bullied his entire life.

When President Choi, a well-known figure in the criminal underworld who dominates the country from the shadows, contacts the two teenagers through Hyeon Joo, who works for him, they ecstatically accept, hoping it will transform their lives.

Their duty as bloodhounds, however, compels them to recover debts owed by others. They must throw aside their convictions and work their way up the ranks to be successful in this career.

How can these high school kids, one of whom aspires to be a boxer and the other to live a life of luxury, adjust to the new working set of the underworld?

The webtoon gained a large following due to its depiction of the harsh realities of South Korean societal issues and a captivating plot that kept viewers hooked to the screen until the end.
