Lumon appears to have hiding intentions for this experiment, which takes us to Severance Season 2!
There is no specific Severance season 2 release date as of April 2023. But there is no need to be concerned. The sci-fi series will undoubtedly return.
Severance Season 2 was approved before the first season had even started. And, considering that Severance season 2 stated on Twitter that production would begin in October 2022 and continue through May, we may expect an early 2024 release date – possibly even late 2023 if we’re lucky.

What should we expect from season 2 of Severance?
Honestly, the first series was such a mind-bender that it’s difficult to predict where everything will go with the season 2 story. However, the previous episode provided hints about where the show may be heading.
At the end of Season 1, Mark discovers that his supposedly dead wife is still alive. That will be a theme throughout Severance’s sophomore season, even though our significant characters tend to lose track of what’s going on in their personal lives.
We expect to see the repercussions of Helly’s terrible appearance at the party her father, Jame Eagan, the current Lumon Industries CEO, held at the end of season 1.
Similarly, we’d like to imagine that what Irving discovered about Burt will be followed up in season 2, but the wiping memories issue makes it tough to predict what will happen.
At the very least, we know that season 2 will have more suspenseful storylines and spine-inducing shocks, as Patricia Arquette, who plays Lumon head Harmony Cobel, teased fans with the dark warning: “Be scared, very scared.”
We’re also curious about Dylan’s fate. Things didn’t look good when we last saw the microdata refiner, but we know he’ll be back in season 2.
