Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014)-

Matthew Vaughn directed this spy action comedy movie that serves as the first movie of the Kingsman movie series. It is adapted from Dave Gibbons and Mark Millar’s same-named comic book.

The plot revolves around a secret agent named Gary Unwin known as “Eggsy” whom a secret spy organization has recruited to look for an eco-terrorist named Richmond Valentine.

Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson, Mark Strong, Taron Egerton, and Michael Caine are the main cast members of the movie. It was released in the United States on February 13, 2015. It arrived on HBO on 1st May this year.

Paper Moon (1973)-

This 1973’s American road comedy-drama movie is now available to stream on HBO. Peter Bogdanovich directed this film the plot of which is set during the Great Depression in Kansas and Missouri.

It features real-life daughter and father Tatum O’Neal and Ryan O’Neal as the protagonists Addie Loggins and Moses “Moze” Pray respectively.

Tatum O’Neal won Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance which made her the youngest competitive winner in Oscar history.

In the United States, the movie was first released on May 9, 1973. It arrived on HBO on 1st May this year.

Parasite (2019)-

The winner of the Academy Award for Best Picture in the 92nd Oscar, ‘Parasite’ is now on HBO. Bong Joon-ho directed this South Korean black comedy thriller movie.

The plot shows how a poor family infiltrates the household of a wealthy family posing as highly qualified unrelated individuals leading to the darkest consequences.

The movie became highly critical and won the four leading awards at the Oscars. It originally premiered at Cannes Film Festival on May 21, 2019. It is among the many films that have been released on HBO on 1st May this year.

Step Brothers (2008)-

This is another movie that arrived on HBO on 1st May this year. Adam McKay directed this 2007 American comedy movie. The plot revolves around two middle-aged men named Dale and Brennan.

The most unusual thing about them is that they still live with their parent. But when Dale’s father married Brennan’s mother, the two men are forced to live in the same house which inevitably poses a number of challenges.

John C. Reilly and Will Ferrell portrayed Dale and Brennan respectively in the movie. It was originally released on July 25, 2008.

Legion of Super-Heroes (2023)-

This animated superhero movie is based on the same named superhero team of DC Comics. The film serves as “Tomorrowverse”s sixth feature-length installment.

The plot revolves around Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl who trains with the titular superhero team from the thirty-first century to fight “Dark Circle”, a terrorist organization.

It was originally released on February 7, 2023, and is scheduled to arrive on HBO on 8th May this year.

Sky Captain and The World of Tomorrow (2004)-

This 2004 sci-fi action-adventure movie was the directorial debut of Kerry Conran and revolves around Sky Captain’s (played by Jude Law) fight against gigantic robots.

The film was originally released on September 17, 2004. It will arrive on HBO on 8th May this year.

The Conjuring (2013)-

This is the first installment of The Conjuring Universe franchise. The supernatural horror movie was inspired by the purportedly real-life reports of paranormal investigators Ed Warren and Lorraine Warren who assisted a family that experienced disturbing events in 1971 in Rhode Island.

Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga portrayed Ed and Lorraine in the film. It was originally released in the United States on July 19, 2013. The film is scheduled to arrive on HBO on 8th May this year.

Unbreakable (2000)-

M. Night Shyamalan directed this superhero thriller movie that serves as the first installment of the Unbreakable movie series.

The plot revolves around security guard David Dunn who, after surviving a dangerous train accident, is informed that he has superhuman abilities.

Bruce Willis portrayed David Dunn in the film. It was originally released in the United States on November 22, 2000, and is set to arrive on HBO on 15th May this year.

Men in Black (1997, 2002, 2012)-

The three semi-comic sci-fi films centered around scum fighting super-agents K and J are arriving on HBO on 16th May this year.
