The CW has revealed that The Flash’s ninth season will be its last, with no season 10 planned.

Cobalt Blue will play a variant of Eddie Thawne on the show. Iris West, Caitlin Snow, Cecile Horton, Chester P. Runk, and reformed cryogenics thief Mark Blaine will join Barry Allen, who had defeated his archnemesis Eobard Thawne, in the fight against a new and mysterious foe, which was hinted at in the eighth season finale to be Cobalt Blue.
