The official teaser for the upcoming Netflix documentary series Tour de France: Unchained went online brand-new.
The eagerly awaited series, created by F1: Drive to Survive producers Quadbox and Box to Box Films, follows seven 2022 Tour de France teams with exclusive access to behind-the-scenes activities.
Previously listed as “Untitled Tour de France Docuseries,” the title has been confirmed to be “Unchained.”

To comprehend the many stakes of a race, our de France series will follow every participant in the Tour de France: Unchained as closely as possible, from cyclists to team management.
It claims to highlight the competition and the “backstages” of the eight competing teams, allowing viewers to glimpse how the teams train for the Grand Boucle’s stages and cross the finish line.

However, not all teams wanted to take part. Tadej Pogaar, a two-time Tour de France: Unchained champion and his UAE Team Emirates decided against participating, citing worries about how the team and its sponsors would be perceived.
Nevertheless, they feature briefly in race broadcasts and interviews with the other competing teams.
With a focus on suffering, pushing boundaries, and teamwork, the series aims to take a narrative approach to the sport and highlight how the Tour de France symbolizes the participants’ greatest struggle.
