South Korean tv series The Good Bad Mother is currently one of the most popular entertainment media throughout the world.

The skyrocketing fame that K-drama and the entire pop culture of South Korea have gained over the years, is worth noting. As proof of that every year a number of K-dramas get released on global streaming platforms like Netflix.

Upcoming South Korean tv series ‘The Good Bad Mother falls under the genre of drama, comedy, and Slice of life.

The plot primarily revolves around a mother-son duo and their journey of finding true happiness. The son who is an ambitious prosecutor, becomes like a child after a tragic accident which leads his mother to guide him in the journey of healing their relationship.

Netflix released the official trailer of the series on YouTube on 18th April 2023. ‘The Good Bad Mother’ premiered on 26th April this year on JTBC and is to be released every Thursday and Wednesday.

In selected regions, the series will also be available to stream on Netflix.

In the series, South Korean actress Ra Mi-ran plays the role of the single mother Jin Young-soon who spends her life tenaciously protecting her child while running a pig farm.

Mi-ran has been active in the acting career since the year 2005. In 2012 she played Yoon Gong-ja in the South Korean tv series ‘Only Because It’s You’. The next year she was cast as Yang Mi-ja in the tv series ‘The Suspicious Housekeeper’.

And the year after that Mi-ran starred as Kkang-soon in the series ‘Steal Heart‘. The same year she also played the supporting character of Baek Na-rae in ‘A Witch’s Love’. As Ra Mi-ran she was cast in the South Korean tv series ‘Reply 1988’ in 2015.

In 2016 she played Bok Seon-nyeo in the K-drama ‘The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop’. The next year she portrayed Hong Do-hee in the series ‘Avengers Social Club’.

The following year she played the main role of Jo Yeon-hwa in the series ‘The Miracle We Met’. She also starred in the role of Park Sung-soon in ‘Black Dog: Being A Teacher‘.

Young-soon’s son Choi Kang-ho is played by South Korean actor Lee Do-hyun. He played Gil Oh-dol in the South Korean tv series ‘Clean with Passion for Now’. He played the supporting role of Gil Oh-dol in the South Korean tv series ‘Clean with Passion for Now’ from 2018 to 2019.

In 2020 Do-hyun starred as the main character Hong Dae-young / Go Woo-young in the series ’18 Again’. Next year he played the main character in another series which is ‘Youth of May in which he played the role of Hwang Hee-Tae.

Do-Hyun portrayed Baek Seung-yoo / Baek Min-Jae in the 2021 series ‘Melancholia‘.

South Korean actress Ahn Eun-jin plays the role of an ex-girlfriend and old friend of Kang-ho- Lee Mi-joo. Among Eun-jin’s other television credits include ‘My Fellow Citizens!’ in which she played Park Gwi-nam in 2019.

As Seong Mi-ran she starred in the series ‘Diary of a Prosecutor’ from 2019 to 2020. In 2020 she was cast as supporting character Kim Young-hee in the series ‘More Than Friends’.

In Seasons one and two of the tv series ‘Hospital Playlist’, Eun-jin played Chu Min-ha from 2020 to 2021. In 2021 she was also cast as the main cast member in ‘The One and Only’ playing Pyo In-sook.
