The upcoming American satirical political drama miniseries ‘White House Plumbers’ is arriving on HBO this May. The series is adapted from Matthew Krogh and Egil Krogh’s book 2007- ‘Integrity’.
The plot primarily revolves around two members of the “White House Plumbers”, the White House Special Investigations Unit- E. Howard Hunt and G. Gordon Liddy.
These two are Watergate masterminds and political operatives for President Richard Nixon. When they are tasked with plugging some press leaks by doing whatever is needed, their missteps accidentally tend to overturn the Presidency itself.

When Is ‘White House Plumbers’ Releasing?
The series was first announced to have been ordered by HBO as a limited series consisting of five episodes. David Mandel who is also an executive producer for the series has directed all the episodes.
Harrelson and Theroux were cast in the lead roles at the time of the announcement of the series. They serve as executive producers too.
Gleeson and Headey were cast in April 2021 as the main characters. Other cast members playing starring roles and undisclosed roles joined in May 2021.
HBO released an official trailer of the series on YouTube on 30th March 2023. It is scheduled to be released on 1st May this year.

Woody Harrelson-
Playing one of the lead characters in the series, part of White House Plumbers- E. Howard Hunt is played by American actor and playwright Woody Harrelson.
Harrelson was nominated three times for the Academy Award- one time as Best Actor for the movie ‘The People v. Larry Flynt’ and two times as Best Supporting Actor for the films The Messenger‘ and ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri’.
Harrelson’s television credits include ‘Cheers’, ‘Frasier’, ‘True Detective’ etc.
Justin Theroux-
In the role of the other lead character G. Gordon Liddy, also a part of the White House Plumbers, we will see American actor and filmmaker Justin Theroux. He also starred in the tv series ‘The District‘, ‘Six Feet Under‘, ‘The Leftovers, ‘The Mosquito Coast’ etc.
Domhnall Gleeson-
White House Counsel and American former attorney John Dean is portrayed by Irish actor Domhnall Gleeson in the series. Gleeson was also cast in the series ‘Run’, ‘Frank of Ireland’, ‘The Patient‘, etc.
Lena Headey-
Howard Hunt’s wife Dorothy Hunt will be seen being portrayed by British actress Lena Headey. Headey is a widely familiar face for her portrayal of the diabolical but complex villain character Cersei Lannister in the popular epic fantasy series ‘Game of Thrones‘ for which she won five Primetime Emmy nominations.
Her television credits include ‘Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles‘ in which she played Sarah Connor.
Kiernan Shipka-
American actress Kiernan Shipka will be seen playing a character named Kevan Hunt. Her best-known roles are in the series ‘Mad Men’, ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina‘, ‘Riverdale‘, ‘Feud: Bette and Joan’, and ‘The Legend of Korra’.
Ike Barinholtz-
The role of high-level political operative of the Republic Party Jeb Magruder will be played by American actor Ike Barinholtz in the series. His other television credits include ‘MADtv’ and ‘The Mindy Project’.
Yul Vazquez-
A Watergate burglar and undercover operative working to overthrow a Cuban leader- Bernard “Macho” Barker will be played by Yul Vazquez.
He previously starred in the series ‘Magic City’, ‘Treme’, ‘The Lottery’, ‘Bloodline‘, ‘Midnight, Texas’, ‘Russian Doll’ etc.
David Krumholtz-
American trial lawyer and federal prosecutor William O. Bittman will be portrayed by David Krumholtz in the series. His other television credits include ‘Numb3rs’, ‘All Hail King Julien’, ‘The Deuce‘, etc.
Rich Sommer-
Egil “Bud” Krogh Jr. will be played by Rich Sommer. He previously starred in the series ‘Mad Men’, ‘GLOW’, ‘In the Dark, etc.
Kim Coates-
Kim Coates has been cast to play another Watergate burglar Frank Sturgis. His other series include ‘Sons of Anarchy‘, ‘Ghost Wars’, ‘Bad Blood’, etc.
Nelson Ascencio-
Cuban-born political activist Virgilio “Villo” R. González will be played by Cuban-American actor Nelson Ascencio in the series. His other television credits include various roles in the sketch comedy series ‘MADtv’.
