At the beginning of Ted Lasso Season 3 Episode 6, which is titled “Sunflowers,” AFC Richmond is shown competing in a friendly match against Ajax in Amsterdam.

Roy Kent has an aggressive post-game interview but refuses to acknowledge how Zava’s absence has impacted the team. With Keeley and Leslie, Rebecca wants to schedule a meeting.

On the other hand, Leslie is going to be in the Red Light District, while Keeley is going to be on a date with Jack. When Roy hears about Keeley’s new relationship with Rebecca, he becomes furious.

Ted relaxes the curfew on the team bus to allow the players to relax and have fun. Roy, on the other hand, unleashes his rage on Jamie by kicking him off the team and taking him to train. In the meantime, the players meet in the hotel lobby to discuss their evening activities.

The group, however, has many ideas, and they don’t appear to be able to settle on a plan.

Isaac is adamant that they cannot make more than one decision at a time because they are a team. Colin sneaks out of the hotel and into a gay pub after creating an excuse.

Rebecca, on the other hand, goes for a stroll in the city and runs into an attractive Dutchman. She unintentionally falls into a canal, forcing her to remain with the Dutchman until her clothes are dry.

Coach Beard urges Ted to test a medication that is made of tea that has been diluted in order to stimulate new cerebral pathways and give Ted inspiration to find solutions to the team’s problems.

Jamie gets Roy to go on a sightseeing trip as Roy and Jamie continue their training. When Jamie finds that Roy can’t ride a bike, he trains him, strengthening his relationship with his coach.

As a result of Ted’s refusal to consume the drug-laced tea, Coach Beard exits the hotel room to go to the party, leaving Ted to spend the night alone. In the end, the players decide to attend the party, but they first decide to eat dinner.

Trent admits he is gay when Colin confides in him about his sexual orientation. Ted, on the other hand, finally drinks the tea and embarks on a bewildering city tour.

In the final segment of the show, Ted expresses his longing for his native country by visiting an American burger shop. Ted, however, makes a stop at a museum along the road and views some Vincent van Gogh artwork.

He is watching an old basketball game at the burger joint when the Chicago Bulls use their infamous “Triangle Offense” strategy to completely destroy their opponents.

Ted develops a new playing style that he spends the entire night perfecting as a result of the painting, the basketball game, and the comfort of being at home.

The following morning, everyone meets up on the team bus, where Rebecca falls head over heels for the Dutchman, Will admits he had a threesome, and the players are filled with newfound enthusiasm.

Ted demonstrates to Coach Beard his new type of play, which centers on the trio of players supporting one another.

Coach Beard clarifies that the game’s method of play is known as “Total Football,” and it was created in Amsterdam in the 1970s. Coach Beard thinks they should carry out the plan, though.

The players stick together, demonstrating their ability to work as a group, and others, such as Leslie, Jamie, and Trent, step up for their friends who need emotional support, following Ted’s advice from the first episode.

In the end, Ted reveals a tactical understanding of the game, advancing his coaching abilities and raising the likelihood of the team making a comeback later in the season.
