Stranger Things Animated Spin-off Announced By Netflix!!!

Published by

Netflix has just announced a fresh new animated spin-off that will take place in the same universe as one of their most popular shows, Stranger Things.

This expansion of the Stranger Things universe comes as a direct result of the phenomenal success of the show’s fourth season.

Along with Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen from 21 Laps, The Duffer Brothers are working on the new untitled animated series as executive producers on behalf of Upside Down Pictures.

In the previous year, Netflix made their initial announcement on spin-offs jointly with the renewal of season 5.

Since then, there have been many predictions about what may happen, including numerous rumors of an Eleven spinoff.

The new series is produced by the Flying Bark Productions animation studio, which was established in 1967 and has production facilities in Sydney and Los Angeles.

Netflix’s project will have Eric Robles serving as its director of production. The well-known author and animator are best known for co-creating the two-season Nickelodeon Original series Glitch Techs as well as the Nickelodeon shows Fanboy and Chum Chum. Robles is also going to be involved in the project as the executive producer for it.

As, everything related to the animated spin-off of the series Stranger Things will be discussed here, including the release date, plot, and other relevant information.

How Are Stranger Things Fans Reacting to the Spinoff’s Announcement?

Polygon

Despite the fact that it is quite unlikely that fans will be dissatisfied with the series, many have observed that it seems as though Netflix is trying to overdo the franchise. Stranger Things has grown to be one of the most successful television franchises since its debut in 2016.

In the world of merchandise, it has also been a huge success. Fans have commented how they believe Netflix is using the series for profit when they could have left it alone, despite the misunderstanding surrounding the show. Many followers of Discussing Film took to Twitter to express their opinions.

After the incredible world-building over the previous four seasons, it seems unlikely that the Duffer brothers will produce an unsatisfactory series, but fans may be skeptical of the spinoff due to what happened to many other shows and their spinoffs when the networks attempted to get more out of them.

About The Series Stranger Things

Entertainment Weekly

In 2016, the Duffer brothers developed the television show Stranger Things for the streaming service Netflix. The first episode of the series aired on July 15, 2016, and it was an instant and overwhelming hit.

It came after the paranormal activity that occurred in Hawkins throughout the 1980s. The series’ fourth season became one of Netflix’s all-time biggest hits, and its succeeding seasons attracted even larger numbers.

The fourth season, which debuted in 2023 and was divided into two parts, was a huge international success. It received 1.352 billion hours of viewing in the first 28 days, which is a record for any show.

The fifth season of the show, which is likely to be its final installment, will begin filming in the summer and be released at the earliest in 2024. It’s possible that the animated series will come first.
