Doctor Cha Episode 3 is all set to be released next week and here are the latest updates you need to know. The new South Korean tv series ‘Doctor Cha’ is now available on Netflix in selected regions.

The plot of the story follows the titular Cha Jung-sook who has been a housewife for twenty years. But now she wants to return to the medical career that she left twenty years ago to find herself struggling with the surprises that the course of life has to offer. The story tells of the journey of her becoming a medical student in their first year.

The series was first scheduled to be released in October 2022. But in November of that year, the series was announced by JTBC to have been included in their 2023 drama lineup. Kim Dae-jin and Kim Jung-wook directed this series according to the writing of Jung Yeo-rang.

On JTBC the series premiered on April 15, 2023, to be aired on the weekends. The series can also be streamed on Netflix in selected regions. Doctor Cha Episode 3 is all set to be released on Netflix on 22nd April 2023 on Netflix.

The role of the full-time housewife Cha Jung-sook, who becomes a first-year medical student after twenty years, has been played by Sloth Korean singer and actress Uhm Jung-Hwa.

Jung-hwa is considered one of the most influential women in the Korean entertainment industry due to her success in both film and music. Shs has earned the nickname “Korean Madonna” for her career reinventions and legacy.

Jung-hwa has starred in a number of television series previously. In 2007 she starred as Oh Soo-jung in the romantic comedy series ‘Get Karl! Oh, Soo-jung’. In 2009 she was cast as Jang Moon-jung in the K-drama ‘He Who Can’t Marry’. As Ban Ji-yeon she starred in the 2014 series ‘A Witch’s Love’.

Then in  2017, she played Yoo Ji-na aka Kim Hye-jung in the tv series ‘You Are Too Much’. Her last tv role is as Go Mi-ran in the series ‘Our Blues’ in 2022.

Jung-sook’s perfectionist husband and chief surgeon of a university hospital Seo In-ho has been played by Kim Byung-chul. This South Korean actor has been starring in a number of hits and acclaimed television series. This includes ‘Descendants of the Sun’ in which he played Lieutenant Colonel Park Byung-soo in 2016.

The same year he also played Park Joong-won in another South Korean tv series ‘Guardian: The Lonely and Great God’. Last year in the popular coming-of-age zombie apocalypse horror tv series ‘All of Us Are Dead’ he played Lee Byung-chan 2022.

Byung-chul’s other television credits include ‘Shopping King Louie’, ‘Tunnel’, ‘The Emperor: Owner of the Mask’, ‘And Mr. Sunshine, ‘Sky Castle’, ‘Doctor Prisoner’, ‘Pegasus Market’, ‘Sisyphus: The Myth, etc.

Se-bin also starred in a number of television series before. In 2005 she played Shin Yoon-soo in the tv drama ‘Wedding’.
