Prisoners of the Sky filmmaker Noriyuki Abe reappeared as “Supervising Director” for the film. Alfred Image Works and Marvy Jack created the animation for the film.

Prince Tristan is troubled by his lack of control over 2 superpowers: the Demon Kinship power of his dad, Meliodas, who did serve as leader of the Seven Deadly Sins as the Dragon Sin of Wrath, and the Goddess Kinship power of his mom, Elizabeth, 14 years after the Empire of Liones vanquished the Demon Clan and granted amnesty to the land.
