American Manhunt: The Boston Marathon Bombing
USA Today

The bombing at the Boston Marathon is a defining moment in American history. It was a horrific incident that played on people’s darkest fears while simultaneously motivating extraordinary acts of bravery and heroism.

Ten years after the event that shook and captivated the world to its core, this series is an attempt to record what occurred and why so that we, as a society, may learn from it.

While it has been ten years, most people still don’t fully understand the details of that particular week’s events, especially the reasons behind them.

The series’ creators want to provide a comprehensive understanding of the incident by delving into first-person stories from survivors, law enforcement, and others who knew the bombers.

The marathon that was held in Boston in 2013 took place on April 15 of that year. Three spectators were murdered, and 264 others were injured in a terrorist attack that involved two simultaneous explosives on the sidewalk close to the finish line. The competition was halted from that point onward.
