Gotham Knights Ending Explained, and More

When Batman is killed, Gotham Knights will follow his adopted son as he joins forces with the children of the superhero’s enemies to figure out who the culprit is.

Turner’s narration introduces the episode, revealing that after his parents were killed, he was fostered by the wealthiest man in town, who provided him with everything he could wish for except the reason why, and it seems it wasn’t the only mystery he was hiding.

Bruce Wayne clutches a coin with a cryptic owl symbol on it in his office at Wayne Tower before going to a concealed panel in his office wall to display his Batman mask.

Harper, Cullen, and Duela get into Bruce’s workplace to rob something from the vault, which turns into the actual pistol used by Joe Chill to kill the Waynes and the barrel is still warm. That was when they know they’d been duped. Bruce Wayne is dead on the ground below.

The cops arrive, but the group manages to flee. Harvey Dent approaches Bruce’s corpse on the street, which is wearing Batman’s costume, revealing his dual identity.

Harvey informs Turner that Bruce has died; Turner is horrified, and Harvey vows to uncover the perpetrators and hold them accountable. Harvey questions him on whether he knew Bruce was Batman.

The city grieves for Batman. At the funeral, the police receive information regarding the “killers”. Meanwhile, the three attempts to collect their cash payout and depart Gotham, but they are apprehended by cops. Later, in the absence of Batman, the Mutant Gang wreaks havoc throughout the city.

The cops arrive and seize Turner almost immediately. Turner is not being defended by Bruce’s lawyers. Harvey, who claims to believe Turner is innocent, hands Turner the coin, which Turner does not recognize.

Turner, Cullen, Harper, and Duela are all brought to the cell. A brawl breaks out, and the investigator prepares to transfer them.

Turner requests only one phone call. The press is curious if Harvey will withdraw himself from the matter. Since Harvey intends to run for mayor, his boss expects him to go ahead and prosecute — and convict — him.

Turner phones Stephanie and tells her that she is the only person capable of getting him out of this situation. The journey to Blackgate starts, and it is revealed that the battle was staged.

Harper, Duela, and Cullen utilized it to take items they might use to get free from their restraints on the bus.

They’ve realized they’re going to be slaughtered since it’s all a ruse. The transport collapses as a result of the chaos. Turner tries to dissuade Duela from killing the officers, but Duela knows the police are part of the frame-up and will kill them. Robin appears. Carrie Kelley here. She feels they did not murder Bruce.

Harvey attends a news conference to reiterate his commitment to apprehending the runaways. Stephanie enters the Batcave to utilize the computer to assist Turner. Turner, Cullen, Harper, and Duela hide out in the school’s tower and try to devise a strategy to discover who murdered Bruce.

Cullen explains that he took Detective Ford’s watch, which has the same inscription as the coin.

Duela discloses that the inscription belonged to the Court of Owls and that they ought to have just let them die because the Court of Owls truly rules Gotham, which is terrible news. A masked stranger beheads Detective Ford in a parking lot.
