The death really affected the singer as he was talking to his friend just 12 hours before his death related to making a video together.

The singer has also talked about the big rumors in the industry of having any relationship with Jamal. They shared huge long years of friendship but it was just a great friend friendship like a family. When it comes to quitting alcohol then Ed Sheeran said:

“Two months before Lyra was born, Cherry said, ‘If my waters break, do you really want someone else to drive me to the hospital?. Because I was just drinking a lot. And that’s when it clicked. I was like, ‘No, actually, I really don’t.’”

He continued and said: “And I don’t ever want to be pissed holding my kid. Ever, ever. Having a couple of beers is one thing. But having a bottle of vodka is another thing.

It’s just a realization of, ‘I’m getting into my thirties. Grow up! You’ve partied, you’ve had this experience. Be happy with that and just be done.'”

The singer said how he loved red wine and beer but it is not at all related to alcohol and getting sober. When it comes to having drugs than he would never touch them again as his best friend died of them. And that’s the reason why it will be disrespectful to his memory with his friend.
