Going through tough decisions like stealing tokens and begging for jobs in Yubaba, she never complained or hesitated. Her connection with No-Face is indeed from the very beginning.

It can be seen through Chihiro’s reaction to being very normal after seeing him, instead of being scared. She decided to help this spirit rather than run away from him or any such spirits because of her looks.
