The series is based on Matthew Quirk’s 2019 novel of the same name. Shawn Ryan, the author of The Shield and a voracious reader, will bring the adaptation to life.

The Night Agent’s cast comprises performers that could be more well-known. Gabriel Basso plays the title role of Peter Sutherland, a brand-new FBI agent.

Rose Larkin, the anxious caller on the other end of the espionage hotline, is portrayed by Luciane Buchanan.

The President’s chief of staff, Diane Farr, will be played by Hong Chau (Downsizing, The Watchmen), rounding out the cast. D.B. Woodside portrays Erik Monks (Lucifer, Romeo Must Die, 24), an ex-Secret Service agent who aspires to rejoin his previous agency.

Ben Almora is portrayed by Enrique Murciano (Without a Trace, Black Hawk Down), who also controls all Secret Service operations within the White House.

Eve Harlow will also appear in the series as Ellen, a disturbed murderer who bites off more than she can chew. Chelsea Arrington is portrayed by Fola Evans-Akingbola, while Sarah Desjardins plays Maddie Redfield.
