Amy Grant shared with Today that the singer experienced a life-threatening bike accident last summer that left her nearly dead.

The most terrifying thing about it was that she was unconscious for 10 straight minutes. This fact still gives Amy goosebumps as shared by her.

In an interview with Today magazine’s Craig Melvin, Amy said the following words,

“I wrote this long book. It was a spiral notebook. And I was just writing to remember, writing — making sure I could remember everybody’s name in my family, which I couldn’t, at first.”

The interview was aired on 1 march and was seen by tons of fans Amy Grant was shocked after hearing the full story for the first time.

Amy even shared them with other things, she even forgot the lyrics to her own songs because of the head injury.

Amy said, “So the first night of the Christmas tour, which is the first time back on tour, teleprompter, and I was on heels. “I was, like, holding onto the piano. Before the show, I was like, ‘I’m so scared. I’m so scared.’ And I work with so many great singers, and they’re like, ‘We got you, we got you.’”

Grant was told by the doctors that it will almost take around 18 months for her to fully recover from the accident. We wish her a speedy recovery.
