The news for a second season was confirmed in November 2022, exactly three months after the first season was dropped.

It was through a tweet from a team member of Sandman. The sad news is that the tweet has disappeared from everywhere.

The deleted tweet that was made by DC comics read, “The dream continues. [The Sandman] will return with new episodes based on multiple volumes of the Neil Gaiman graphic novel to explore even more stories of the Endless.” (as confirmed by Digital Spy)

This tweet came as a pretty huge relief to the fans who absolutely loved the first season. This is because Netflix has been dropping the plans to confirm the next seasons for most of its series.
