Eric Heisserer developed the popular American fantasy television series ‘Shadow and Bone which is adapted from Leigh Bardugo’s book series on Grishaverse- ‘Shadow and Bone’ and ‘Six of Crows’.

The plot is primarily set in the nation of Ravka, one of Grisha’s many nations inhabited by people who are able to use magic or “The Small Science”.

The protagonist of the story is an orphan young woman named Alina Starkov who discovers herself to be the Sun Summoner which is to be able to summon light. But this discovery not only bestows Alina with a lot of responsibilities but also makes her the subject of evil plots and attacks.

When Is Shadow and Bone Season 2 Releasing?

The series was first announced by Netflix in January 2019. The first season, consisting of eight episodes, premiered on April 23, 2021, on Netflix. A second season was renewed in June of 2021.

The filming of the upcoming season began in January 2022. YouTube released an official trailer of the series on February 17, 2023.  The season is scheduled to be released on 16th March this year. It will consist of eight episodes as well.

Shadow and Bone Season 2 Is coming on March 16th, 2023 on Netflix.
