Samsung Galaxy S23 Review: Enhanced Battery Life and An Improved Camera

Published by

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series was introduced by Samsung earlier this month. The Galaxy S23 Ultra managed to steal the show with features including a 200-megapixel camera, 5,000 mAh battery, 45W quick charging, and an inbuilt S Pen; even though there are three smartphones in this series, the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23.

Samsung Galaxy S23, however, has a chance to surprise. The South Korean tech giant aimed to improve performance and update the series’ smallest phone battery rather than concentrating on the camera.

Samsung Galaxy S23 stunned everyone with its incredible camera.

The one improvement that consistently grabs attention is the camera. Everyone wants their phone to perform well since it frequently serves as their sole camera, allowing them to record the most excellent quality and resolution of memories.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is now available. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra can unquestionably capture more information, especially in low light, thanks to its 200-megapixel, 50-megapixel, and 12-megapixel rear cameras, as well as its improved night photography feature.

This phone displays its strength in more than just the cameras. It’s clear why the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is Samsung’s most excellent Galaxy phone thanks to minor design improvements, including a more angular form and a less rounded screen, as well as a substantially enhanced display (cooler, less intense colors) and well-rounded audio.

Design of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra: Elegant and Simple

Samsung

It’s simple to assume that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra looks like its forerunner, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Both phones are sizable and have rectangular slabs of glass on top.

They are also the same height and breadth. Powering on the new model, though, makes the changes more noticeable. To begin with, the edges and corners of the Galaxy S23 Ultra are more angular and less rounded.

In addition, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is more comfortable to grip than the S22 Ultra, so I could feel the difference when I held them side by side.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra’s cover glass is flatter, whereas the Galaxy S22 Ultra has a more rounded edge. As a result, it is simpler to tap on material that reaches the screen’s edge.

In addition, with the built-in S Pen stylus, writing on the screen is much simpler. Since the first Galaxy Note, I’ve enjoyed the S Pen. This feature is quite helpful for quick sketching, doodling, and taking notes.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra’s controls, a volume rocker, and a wake button below it are located along the device’s right edge, just like its predecessor. Along the phone’s bottom edge are the speaker, USB Type-C connector, an integrated S Pen holder, and the SIM card slot (at left).

The phone is available in green, phantom black, cream, and lavender. In addition, the Samsung website is the only place to find graphite, sky blue, lime, and red colors.

Unfortunately, Samsung discontinued its 128GB storage option this year, while the Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 variants with less expensive capacity still have it. This wise and long overdue step recognizes how quickly storage space is used when taking 200-megapixel photos or 4K or even 8-K videos.

A USB Type-C to USB Type-C charging cable is included with the phone. You must purchase a separate USB Type-A port adapter if you want one. Use a 25W or 45W Samsung-approved USB PD (Power Delivery) power adapter to utilize the fast-charging capability.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra also supports wireless charging and wireless power sharing, which is helpful if you need to refuel a Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 or Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, a pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro (our choice for the best wireless earbuds for Android), or another phone.
