Groundhog Dog was the very first piece of content to popularise the storyline of people stuck inside a never-ending time loop. Ever since that, time loops have been an interesting topic for movies and series.

The concept of a time loop can be adventurous, mysterious, horror, full of action, or even romantic. It’s all about the narrator deciding the storyline around any of these.

This time, the streaming giant Netflix has released its very own time loop movie, Re/Member. Here’s a little about the time loop movie.

Re/Member is based upon the manga adaptation of Japanese author Welzard, Karada Sagashi. It was illustrated by the artist Katsutoshi Murase. When it was announced that Karada Sagashi will be made into a live-action movie, the fans of the manga went berserk.

Re/Member seeks into the life of a bunch of Japanese students stuck in a time loop. Asuka Morisaki (Kanna Hashimoto) is the main lead of the movie. The story starts when Asuka sees a ghost of a dead child.

The ghost asks her to find the scattered parts of her corpse in her high school. When Asuka arrives there, she is accompanied by childhood friend Takahiro (Gordon Maeda) along with four of her other classmates, Rumiko (Yamamoto Maika), Atsushi (Kamio Fuji), Shota (Daigo Kotaro), and Rie (Yokota Mayuu).

The team now has to fight the endless time loop that they find themselves stuck in.

Apart from a great storyline, Re/Member finds itself lagging behind to attract the interest of its audience. Bad dialogue delivery and poorly written character dynamics prove to be the top two reasons for that.

Although, if you are in for excellent VFX and are able to ignore all the other factors, then Re/Member can be added to your watchlist.
