Season 3 of Jon Favreau-created American action-adventure space Western tv series ‘The Mandalorian’ is coming this March on Disney+.
It is the first live-action tv series of the Star Wars franchise. Its plot is set five years after the incidents of the 1983 movie ‘Return of the Jedi’ and the Galactic Empire’s fall.
The story kicked off with a lone bounty hunter Din Djarin aka The Mandalorian going on the run to protect Grogu, a Force-sensitive child. Though he was initially recruited by Imperial forces to retrieve the child, he changes the course of his action to reunite the infant with his kind.
The series progresses with a number of other characters appearing in their journey and various bends of action and adventure. The series has been acclaimed by both viewers and critics. It won seven Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards and Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Drama Series.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Release Date
The series premiered on November 12, 2019. The writing of the Mandalorian Season 3 came under development by late April 2020.
Filming of the 3rd Season kicked off on October 13, 2021, and it concluded on March 20, 2022. While the fourth season is currently under development, the third season is scheduled to be released with eight episodes on March 1, 2023.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Cast Members
Pedro Pascal-
The lead and titular character Mandalorian or Din Djarin is played by Chilean-born American actor Pedro Pascal in the series. Pascal will return in the upcoming season to portray the same. He also reprised this role in the spin-off of the series ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ in 2022.
But the role that granted him prominence for the first time is of Oberyn Martell in HBO’s epic fantasy series ‘Game of Thrones‘.
Pascal’s other important television credits include ‘The Good Wife’, ‘Graceland’, and ‘Narcos’. Most recently he has been cast as Joel Miller in the lead role in HBO’s post-apocalyptic series ‘The Last of Us’ co-starring with Bella Ramsey.
Pascal also starred in the 2017 spy action comedy movie ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ as Jack Daniels aka Agent Whiskey and in the 2020 DC superhero movie ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ as Maxwell Lord.
Giancarlo Esposito-
Leader of the fallen Galactic Empire Moff Gideon who wants to capture Grogu aka Baby Yoda has been played by American actor Giancarlo Esposito and will be reprised in the upcoming season.
His important television credits include ‘Guiding Light’, ‘Sesame Street’, ‘Miami Vice’, ‘Bakersfield P.D.’, ‘Creature’, ‘Homicide: Life on the Street’, ‘The $treet’, ‘Breaking Bad‘, ‘Once Upon a Time’, ‘Revolution’, ‘The Get Down’, ‘Dear White People’, ‘Better Call Saul’, ‘Godfather of Harlem’, ‘The Boys‘, and ‘DuckTales’.
Carl Weathers-
American actor and ex-professional football player Carl Weathers will be reprising his role of Greef Karga in Season 3. His television credits include ‘Fortune Dane’, ‘Tour of Duty’, ‘Street Justice’, ‘In the Heat of the Night’, ‘Arrested Development’, ‘Chicago Justice’, etc.
Weathers was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his role in ‘The Mandalorian’.
Katee Sackhoff-
American actress Katee Sackhoff will be reprising her role of Bo-Katan Kryze in the upcoming season. She previously starred in the tv series ‘The Fearing Mind’, ‘The Education of Max Bickford’, ‘Battlestar Galactica’, ‘Battlestar Galactica’, ’24’, ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation‘, ‘Longmire’, ‘The Flash’, ‘Another Life’ etc.
Emily Swallow-
American actress Emily Swallow will be back with her portrayal of The Armorer in the upcoming season. She also starred in the television series ‘Southland’, ‘Monday Mornings’, ‘The Mentalist’, ‘Supernatural’, Season 3 of ‘SEAL Team‘, etc.
Omid Abtahi-
Iranian American actor Omid Abtahi will also be back to star in the role of Dr. Pershing in the 3rd season. His other television credits include ‘Over There’, ‘Last Resort’, ‘Those Who Kill’, ‘Damien’, ‘American Gods‘, ‘Fear the Walking Dead’, etc.
He also starred in the films ‘Ocean of Pearls’, ‘The Last Lullaby’, ‘Brothers’, ‘Argo’, ‘Boys of Abu Ghraib’, ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2’ etc.
Amy Sedaris-
American actress Amy Sedaris is returning in the upcoming season of the series. American actor and Emmy winner Christopher Lloyd, famed for starring in the series ‘Back to the Future’ and ‘Taxi’ and Timothy Meadows, famed for being cast in the series ‘Schooled’ and ‘The Goldbergs’ will also be seen in the upcoming season.
