Is Grey’s Anatomy Season 19 Part 2 Releasing In February 2023?

The popular and award-winning medical drama series ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ is all set to return with Part 2 of its Season 19. Shonda Rhimes created this tv series on ABC that surrounds the personal and professional lives of a number of surgical interns, attendings, and residents.

The title of the series alludes to the classic human anatomy textbook ‘Gray’s Anatomy’. The plot focuses on Meredith Grey’s development from an intern into a renowned surgeon.

Though in the upcoming season 19, we will reportedly see Ellen Pompeo, who portrays the titular character Meredith Grey, reducing her involvement.

When Is Season 19 Part Two of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Releasing?

Season 19 of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ was confirmed on January 10, 2022. The first part was released on October 6, 2022. It consisted of six episodes and concluded airing on 10th November of the same year.

Grey’s Anatomy Season 19 Part 2 also consists of six episodes and is set to arrive on February 23, 2023, on ABC as part of its midseason schedule. The last episode of Part Two will release on 30th March this year.

Following are the main cast members who will be seen reprising their roles in ‘Grey’s Anatomy Season 19 Part two.

Ellen Pompeo-

American actress Ellen Pompeo is famed for portraying Dr. Meredith Grey since the first season. Grey was also cast in the films ‘Moonlight Mile, ‘Catch Me If You Can‘, ‘Old School’, ‘Daredevil’, ‘Undermind’, ‘Art Heist’, ‘Life of the Party, etc.

Chandra Wilson-

The character of Dr. Miranda Bailey will be reprised by American actress and director Chandra Wilson. Wilson received a number of Emmy nominations for her role in ‘Grey’s Anatomy’.

Her film credits include ‘Philadelphia’, ‘Lone Star’, ‘ A Single Woman’, ‘Frankie and Alice’, etc. In 2008 Wilson was cast as Yvonne in the Hallmark Channel original film ‘Accidental Friendship’ and won another Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress.

James Pickens Jr.-

As Dr. Richard Webber, American actor James Pickens Jr. will be seen in ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. His other tv series include ‘Roseanne’, ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’, ‘The Practice’, ‘The X-Files, ‘The Conners‘, ‘Station 19‘, etc.

Kevin McKidd-

Scottish actor and tv director Kevin McKidd portrays Dr. Owen Hunt in the series joining the cast in Season 4. His other tv credits are ‘Rome’, ‘Journeyman’ etc.

For McKidd’s role as Frankie in Richard Jobson’s 2003 drama film ’16 Years of Alcohol’, he was nominated for BAFTA Scotland Award for Best Actor in a Scottish Film and a British Independent Film Award for Best Actor.

McKidd’s other film credits include ‘The Acid House’, ‘Topsy-Turvy’, ‘Max’, ‘Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief’ etc.

Kim Raver-

The character of Dr. Teddy Altman, who was cast in the series in Season 5, will be reprised by Kim Raver in the upcoming Season 19 Part 2.

Her other television credits include ‘Sesame Street‘, ‘Third Watch’, ’24’, ‘The Nine’, ‘Lipstick Jungle’, ‘Revolution’, ’24: Live Another Day’, ‘Full Circle’, ‘APB’, ‘Ray Donovan’, ‘Designated Survivor’, etc.

Camilla Luddington-

British actress Camilla Luddington is cast as Dr. Jo Wilson in ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. She was cast as a recurring character in Season 9 and became the main cast member in Season 10.

Her other television credits include the series ‘Californication’, ‘True Blood’ and the tv film ‘William & Kate: The Movie, etc.

Caterina Scorsone-

Canadian American actress Caterina Scorsone plays Dr. Amelia Shepherd in ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ since Season 6 and will be reprising this role in the second part of the upcoming season.

She also played this character in ‘The Grey’s Anatomy’ spin-off ‘Private Practice’ from 2010 to 2013.

Kelly McCreary-

American actress Kelly McCreary will be reprising her role as Dr. Maggie Pierce in the upcoming part 2 of Season 10. Her other tv credits are ‘Cyberchase’, ‘White Collar’, ‘Emily Owens, M.D.’ and ‘Station 19’.

Jake Borelli-

American actor Jake Borelli joined the cast of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ in Season 14 and will reprise his role of Dr. Levi Schmitt in the series. His other tv credits include ‘Psych: Flashback to the Teen Years’, ‘The Thundermans’, ‘And station 19’.

Chris Carmack-

The role of Dr. Atticus “Link” Lincoln will be reprised by American actor Chris Carmack in the series from Season 15. His other television credits are ‘The O.C.’, ‘Nashville’ etc.

Anthony Hill-

Hill joined the cast of the series playing the main character in Season 18. He will reprise his role of Winston Ndugu in the upcoming part two of Season 19.

Scott Speedman-

British Canadian actor Scott Speedman will be back as Dr. Nick Marsh in the upcoming part. His other most important role is of Ben Covington in the tv series ‘Felicity’.
