Is The Killer Releasing In 2023 and Who Are in It?

The upcoming movie ‘The Killer’ is an American neo-noir action thriller drama film. Academy Award nominee for Best Director David Fincher has directed this movie.

He is known for directing films like ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’, ‘The Social Network’, ‘Mank’, ‘Fight Club’, ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo‘, ‘Gone Girl’ etc.

American screenwriter Andrew Kevin Walker has written the script of the movie adapted from the same-titled graphic novel series of Alexis Nolent. It is a French comic book about the life of an assassin, known as “The Killer”, whose name is later revealed to be Christian.

When is ‘The Killer’ Releasing and Where?

David Fincher was first announced to direct the adaptation of the comic book in November of 2007 with Allesandro Camon as the scriptwriter.

In February of 2021, Fincher signed a deal with Netflix for this project with Andrew Kevin Walker taking over the role of scriptwriter and Michael Fassbender as the lead cast member.

The primary filming began in Paris in early November of 2021. It concluded on March 28, 2022.

On January 18, 2023, a preview of Netflix’s 2023 film slate was uploaded on YouTube in which the expected release date of ‘The Killer’ has been revealed. The film will arrive on Netflix on November 10, 2023.

Cast Members of the Upcoming Movie ‘The Killer’:

Michael Fassbender-

Irish actor Michael Fassbender who is the recipient of a number of accolades has been cast to portray the lead character Christian aka The Killer in the upcoming movie.

He won two Academy Award nominations one of which is in the year of 2014 as Best Supporting Actor for the movie ‘12 Years a Slave and the other in the year of 2016 as Best Actor for the movie ‘Steve Jobs’.

For the 2011 British psychological erotic drama film ‘Shame‘, Fassbender was nominated for British Academy Film Awards as Best Actor in a Leading Role. He also won two other British Academy Film nominations for the films ’12 Years a Slave’ and ‘Steve Jobs’.

His other film credits include ‘Hunger’, ‘Fish Tank’, ‘Frank’, ‘Macbeth’, ‘Inglourious Basterds‘, ‘Macbeth’, ‘Prometheus’, ‘Slow West’, ‘X-Men: First Class, etc. Fassbender was cast as Thomas Rainsborough in the 2008 four-part tv series ‘The Devil’s Whore’.

Charles Parnell-

American actor Charles Parnell is another cast member of the upcoming movie. In the 2004 American multi-story comedy-drama movie ‘Mind the Gap’ he starred as John McCabe. As Asst. DA Worsheck was cast in the 2007 American drama movie ‘The Education of Charlie Banks.

In the role of Arthur, Parnell was cast in the 2011 drama film ‘Pariah’. Miles Davis, starred in the 2018 psychological movie ‘A Million Little Pieces‘.

From 2005 to 2008 Parnell starred as Derek Frye, being the second actor to portray the role after William Christian, in ABC’s soap opera ‘All My Children’.

He served as narrator from 2012 to 2015 in the reality tv series ‘North Woods Law’. In the action drama tv series ‘The Last Ship’ he starred from 2014 to 2018 and then in the tv series ‘Briarpatch’ from 2019 to 2020.

Arliss Howard-

American actor and film director Arliss Howard is another cast member of the series. From 2005 to 2007 he was cast in the role of Captain Kenneth Push in the supernatural tv series ‘Medium‘.

Then in 2010, he starred as Kale Ingram in the conspiracy thriller series ‘Rubicon‘. In 2013 he portrayed one of the main characters Truman Burrell in the sixth season of the fantasy horror drama series ‘True Blood‘.

As the antagonist character Amora Campana, she starred in the telenovela ‘Sangue Bom’ in 2013.

The next year she starred in the Brazilian late-night telenovela ‘O Rebu’ in the lead role of Maria Eduarda Mahler and the year after that in another Brazilian telenovela ‘Babilônia’ in the lead role of Alice Junqueira.

Portraying the Brazilian diplomatic clerk Aracy de Carvalho she starred as a main cast member in the Brazilian tv miniseries ‘Passport to Freedom’.

British actress Tilda Swinton and owner of a number of accolades including Academy and British Academy Film Awards, Tilda Swinton joined the cast of ‘The Killer’.

She won the Oscar for starring in the legal thriller film ‘Michael Clayton‘ as Best Supporting Actress in 2007. For that film, she also won the British Academy Film Award the same year.
