Amazon Prime Video‘s comedy television series ‘Harlem’ is scheduled to return this year with its Season 2 on February 3. Tracy Oliver created this series and also serves as an executive producer for the show. The plot of the series revolves around four women in their thirties all of whom live in Harlem.
Camille, Quinn, Angie, and Tye are close friends since they met at New York University as students. Through their close bonding, the four working professionals navigate the paths of love, career, and life.
Tracy Oliver shared the thought behind her idea of creating this television series as she said that she felt the lack of Black female friendship portrayed in the industry although there are a number of tv series dealing with the theme of female friendship.
She also expressed her desire to portray people trying to find the path of life despite being in their thirties. She used her own experiences as inspiration for this show. On July 8, 2019, the project was first announced. But due to the Covid pandemic, filming got delayed.
