Set after the events of the main series, Freeridge follows a new pair of friends as they navigate high school in a Los Angeles neighborhood. On My Block, which premiered on Netflix in 2018, became an instant hit by combining teenage drama with a dash of humor.
While On My Block is amusing, the series also finds time to address critical social concerns such as gang violence and gentrification throughout four seasons. Fans can’t wait for the sequel to be on their screens. Here is all the information you want for the upcoming series.
Release date of Freeridge
Freeride, with eight thirty-minute episodes, will be released exclusively on Netflix on February 2, 2023.

The cast of Freeridge
Keyla Monterroso Mejia plays Gloria, Bryana Salaz plays Ines, Tenzing Norgay Trainor plays Cameron, & Ciara Riley Wilson plays Demi in the new Freeride cast.
Zaire Adams, J.R. Villarreal, Peggy Blow, Michael Solomon, and Jean-Paul San Pedro are the other Freeridge cast members. In addition, Paula Garcés and Eric Gutierrez reprise their roles as Ruby’s parents, while Eme Ikwuakor and Raushanah Simmons play Jamal’s parents.

The plot of Freeridge
The series will likely abandon some of the more realistic aspects of gang life from the previous season in favor of a more supernatural tone. The show Freeridge will be similar to several of Netflix’s spooky teenage dramas, such as Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Wednesday.
It would be a mockery for the spinoff to replicate the original series’ dilemmas and scenarios with a different cast and somewhat altered lines. Instead, the Freeridge creators are eager to extend their stay in this fictional universe, build on it, and make it more accessible to fans of many genres.

In the latest trailer, the new crew becomes involved with several supernatural threats after discovering a cursed item that will forever impact their lives. This type of surprising storyline is what first drew us to On My Block.
So it’s terrific to see Freeridge continue to push the boundaries of what is meant to be a teenage comedy. Cut to a montage of classic Freeridge antics: fighting, escaping weird supernatural occurrences, an Abuelita appearance, a RollerWorld reference, and various jokes.
The trailer also allows us to get to know the new crew more as they kiss, fight, and form bonds that will help them face any challenge.
