Jun Ji Hyun is one of the most successful actresses in South Korea. Gianna Jun aka Jun Ji Hyun has not only won various awards like two Grand Bell Awards for Best Actress and a Daesang (Grand Prize) for Television at the Baeksang Art Awards, the actress has worked in some dramas.

Jun Ji Hyun has worked in various genres such as My Love from the Star (2013–2014), The Legend of the Blue Sea (2016–2017) and Jirisan (2021), and My Sassy Girl (2017). Among the dramas of Jun Ji Hyun, most of them are famous but some are worth watching.

The South Korean drama ‘My Sassy Girl’ was one of the best dramas. It was aired from May 29 to July 18, 2017, on SBS. The series had Joo Won, Oh Yeon-seo, Lee Jung-shin, and Kim Yoon-hye as its main cast.

The television series is based on the 2001 movie My Sassy Girl by Kwak Jae-yong, but in the series, the setting is during Joseon period. The series has a total of 32 episodes.

The Legend of the Blue Sea

It is one of the famous series of Jun Ji Hyun. The drama aired from November 16, 2016, till January 25, 2017, on SBS. Jun Ji Hyun and Lee Min Ho were included in the list of main cast of the drama. This drama shows the love story of a con man and a mermaid who sails across the ocean to find him.

The series is based on a traditional Joseon legend from Korea’s earliest collection of unofficial historical tales about a fisherman who captures and releases a mermaid. The drama has 20 episodes in total and also includes one special episode.

My Love From the Star

The television series titled ‘My Love from the Star‘ was written by Park Ji-eun and directed by Jang Tae-yoo. It aired from December 18, 2013, to February 27, 2014, on SBS.

Jun Ji-hyun, Kim Soo-hyun, Park Hae-jin, Yoo In-na, Shin Sung-rok, and Ahn Jae-hyun were the lead actors in the series.

It depicts the story of an alien from another planet who arrived on Earth in 1609 during the Joseon Dynasty and falls in love with a prominent female actress 400 years later. The television series has 21 episodes in total.
