The anime series Mob Psycho 100 ended its six-year run on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, with the release of season 3, episode 12.
However, Reigen eventually got to Mob in the final episode of Mob Psycho 100 III, showing that he had no powers for the first time. Following this, Mob tried to confess his feelings to Tsubomi-chan, but he was rejected.
The episode then cut to Mob’s senior year, where his entire gang was seen celebrating Reigen’s birthday.

Mob’s determination shines through in the season finale as his true, unrepressed nature appears. The whole fight shown in the previous episodes, as well as the damage he caused, was a result of Mob war within himself. He sought to destroy his psychic side, yet his psychic side isn’t always wrong.
Indeed, Mob claims that his psychic side is the part of him that fell in love with Tsugumi. However, the Mob only learns to embrace his qualities and characteristics once Reigen discloses his lies and personality.
This is a lovely exchange between mentor & student. Throughout the series, Reigen has significantly affected Mob, yet Reigen has always prioritized his own goals.
Reigen’s character development was shown as the story continued. He learned to care about Mob and his growth. Despite the deception, Mob regards Reigen as his mentor and, more importantly, a close friend.

Tsugumi quickly rejects Mob despite the weather dangers, intense fights, and even heart-to-heart bro chats. After being rejected, he was also spotted talking to Tsubomi-chan, demonstrating his ease with her now.
Following that, Mob, his brother, and their pals headed to the Spirits and Such Consultation Office to surprise Reigen on his birthday. Instead of spiraling, Mob returns to Reigan and sheds tears of sadness – a normal reaction to such a situation.
These tears show Mob’s emotional state, where he no longer hides his actual nature. Finally, Reigan places a hand on his shoulder, assuring him that everything will be fine.
The story then moves up, and Mob appears more confident than ever. Without a doubt, he is still the same person. However, he suddenly puts himself out there, socializing, leading, and even pursuing Tsugumi. Nothing appears to be odd.

There was absolutely no other way for this to end, and the way it did was almost perfect. It was impossible to create a better finale for a show as delightfully odd as this one since anything less than perfection would be insufficient.
So what makes something extraordinary in a show that has always been the one to defy anime conventions and forge its path? First, by including the final battle between the two central characters! Not only that, but it was also the finest thing that had ever happened in the program.
