Emre Şahin has directed the Turkish time travel historical drama series ‘Midnight at the Pera Palace’ which is inspired by Charles King’s same-named historical non-fiction book.
The plot of the series revolves around a historic hotel in Istanbul inside which a journalist Esra accidentally gets transferred back in time and reaches the year 1919 only to encounter a historical plot that changed the fate of modern-day Turkey.
Hazal Kaya has starred in the roles of Esra and her doppelganger back in time- Peride. The first season of the series premiered on March 3, 2022, with eight episodes.
