‘The Club’ is a Turkish period drama series the plot of which is set in cosmopolitan Istanbul of the 1950s.
The story centers around a mother who wishes to reconnect with her rebellious daughter by keeping her away from the latter’s love interest. To do that, the protagonist Matilda who is also an ex-convict struggles to stand against her boss, the manager of the nightclub, and an artist who sings there.
Turkish actress Gökçe Bahadır gas starred in the role of protagonist Matilda in the series. The first season of the series premiered on November 5, 2021, on Netflix with the first six of the ten episodes. The last four episodes were released on January 6, 2022.
