Quantum Leap Part 2 Release Date, Returning Cast Members, and Other Details

Quantum Leap Part 2 is all set to be released next year in January 2023, and here we’re with the latest updates of the series.

However, the series premiered on NBC on March 26, 1989, and ran for five seasons, ending on May 5, 1993.

The first season of Quantum Leap followed the travels of Dr. Sam Beckett, a scientist from the future who is accidentally trapped inside his own time-traveling quantum computer.

With the help of his hologram guide, Al, and a mysterious woman named Ziggy, Sam leaps from one person to another, inhabiting their bodies and trying to “put right what once went wrong” in order to return to his own time.

Along the way, he experiences many different eras and faces a variety of challenges, including a Vietnam War vet, a child abuse victim, and a schizophrenic. The season finale of Quantum Leap Season 1 was released on May 17, 1989.

It was titled “M.I.A.”, and it featured Sam trying to help a Vietnam vet who has been missing in action since the war ended. The episode ends with Sam finally leaping home, only to discover that he is still stuck in the past.

Quantum Leap’s midseason finale ended with confirmation that Part 2 will return on Monday, January 2, 2023, at 10.00 PM ET.
