Park So Dam Makes Her Comeback After Thyroid Cancer Surgery.

The South Korean actress, Park So Dam makes her return to the screens after surviving throat cancer. She gained notoriety for her roles in the 2015 movie The Priests and the TV shows Cinderella with Four Knights (2016) and Record of Youth (2020).

Her most famous work includes the Korean comedy thriller film Parasite, which was released in 2019.

On December 19, a press conference was held for Park So Dam’s upcoming movie “Phantom.” After almost a year of her thyroid cancer surgery, the actress made her first public appearance.

During the press conference, the actress interacted with the media and talked about herself, her health, and her treatment. During the interaction, she said, “I regretted it because it appeared that I had worried a lot of people.

I constantly urge my followers to maintain physical and emotional wellness, but I felt I couldn’t uphold that commitment.” She further continued by saying, “I was recovering from surgery and had lost my voice at this time last year.

The holiday season this year is significantly different from last year’s. I’m overjoyed to be able to wish you, and everyone, health, and happiness. My palms are starting to perspire because I’m so anxious, yet I’m glad to see the director and the other cast members again. It seems to be a fresh beginning.”

The actress also thanked the director for giving her the opportunity by saying, “I came across this project when I was really having trouble. I kept thanking the director because he held my hand back then and gave me the confidence to seize this chance.

I was delighted that I met good sunbeams despite my worries about making this movie while I was having trouble. Please be in good health, both in body and spirit, for I will honor my word.”

The upcoming movie, “Phantom” of Park So Dam will be released on January 18, next year. The film focuses on the five suspects who are imprisoned in a remote hotel in 1933, during the Japanese colonization of Korea, to be interrogated. They are fighting each other’s suspicions and boundaries to get out safely.

Each of the five suspects is suspected of being a spy known as “Phantom” for the local anti-Japanese organization in Gyeongseong.
